Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness, here on our 2021 Honda CRV. So our trailer wiring harness, this is gonna provide us with the most basic 4-pole trailer connector. Now, this is gonna have our running light circuit as well as our stop and turn signal circuit. Now you're not gonna know what trailer connector you have until you actually see the trailer. But more often than not, the smaller to lighter duty trailers are definitely gonna have that 4-pole trailer connector. So chances are, that's what you're gonna need, especially if your trailer doesn't have brakes. more

Connor: Hey everyone, Connor here today at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness here for our 2020 Honda Odyssey. Now our wiring harness here in its most basic form is going to provide us with the lighting we need, required for our trailers. Now the lighting required with our four-pole here is going to be the basic lighting functions such as our taillights, our left and right stop and turn signal circuits. That's all we're going to need for some of our smaller trailers without brakes, which is why this four-pole trailer connector here is going to be an excellent option. So as you can see here, we have our trailer connector inside the vehicle, which is where it's going to reside until we're using it.Now there's a couple of different ways to install this. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Honda HR-V- Video
Hi there Honda owners. Today on your 2019 Honda HRV we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness. This is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. You can't really even tell that it's there because it's hidden underneath our spare tire compartment cover. And when you're ready to use it, you simply drape it over the back and it will pinch in between our weatherstripping holding it in place, you just want to make sure you avoid the striker here in the middle. Pinching it in the weatherstripping isn't going to cause any damage to it, it's actually just going to hold it in place for us and we can choose the amount of length that we need then hook up to our trailer.Our four pole flat connector here is going to provide us with all the necessary lighting that we'll need on our trailer, which includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, which will keep us DOD compliant in all States. more

The Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness is going to allow us to pull small trailers, as well as use any lights we may have on our cargo carrier. Now, it's going to provide the basic functions, such as the stop and turn signals, as well as the running light circuits. Now, the four pole connector that this gives us is going to be an industry standard, and it's going to be the most common one you're going to need for some of the smaller trailers.Now as you can see now, we have our wiring harness routed out the hatch here and secured to the safety chain loops on our trailer hitch. Now, we're obviously not going to be driving around like this. more

Our Tekonsha T-One here is going to offer a seven-way trailer connector.Now the seven-way trailer connector is going to be great for some of the medium to larger duty trailers, which have electric brakes that we need to activate. This connector here is going to provide us with all the basic trailer lighting circuits.It's also going to charge us. It's also going to allow us to use a battery on the trailer, because it has a battery charge line circuit, as well as is mentioned, the electric brake circuit. However, keep in mind, we still need an electric brake controller, in order to activate the trailer's brakes, which we sell here at each trailer.The Tekonsha seven-way is going to be a super easy install. more

Adding wiring to your vehicle is going to allow you to tow small trailers with the civic and allow you to get the light functions from the vehicle back to the trailer so that your legal and safe.It's going to give you 2.1 amps per circuit for your stop and turn signals. Now, our Tekonsha wiring is going to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector, so we're going to have all the required lights to get down the road safely, like our turn signals, our taillights, and our brake lights. Now whether we're towing a trailer or we have an accessory that has lights on it, it's always an easier way to have a plug rather than trying to splice into your wiring, because they can be a little nerve-wracking for some customers, and for good reasons.I don't want to hack into my wiring and my vehicle either, but our Tekonsha wiring is going to be for the factory tow package, so we're just going to have this plugged inside the vehicle. It'll plug in. There's no cutting or splicing required. Since it is designed to stay on the outside of the vehicle, they're even going to include a grommet, so that we don't have to worry about drilling any holes or anything else. more

Our wiring is going to provide our trailer with the necessary lighting signals while you're towing it down the road to not only keep you safe, but legal. And as a bonus, it's also going to help other motorists know what your intentions are as you're going down the road.Now, a couple of things I really like about this kit is, one, it just plugs right into our factory harness, so it's going to be very easy to get hooked up, and two is the fact that it uses a module box. Now that module box is going to protect our factory wiring if a short we're to occur on our trailer.Now some of our customers wonder if their four way wiring can be permanently mounted outside, and the answer is yes. And it just so happens that there is a rubber grommet conveniently located right there next to our box. more

Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-Pole flat trailer connector, on our 2011 Honda Odyssey, and here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed, it is going to provide us with a 4-Pole flat trailer connector so we can have all the lines required to get us down the road safely when we're towing a trailer, like our tail lights, our turn signals and our brake lights. Now our wiring is going to have a dust cover on it, so it's going to help protect any kind of dirt and debris from getting inside, making sure that our connectors are going to be clean, however it is designed to stay on the inside of the car until we're ready to use it. So we can just simply open up our hatch.We can wind up all of our excess wire and we can keep it back here in our cargo area. Then whenever we do want to use it, we'll just drop our wire down so we got enough room to reach our hitch. Just want to make sure that the wire is on the Weatherstripping, but away from the actual latch mechanism itself. The Weatherstripping is going to have enough give to where it's not going to damage the wire. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com.Today on our 2013 Honda Civic, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. Our wiring is going to provide us with the necessary lighting functions when we're towing a trailer, to not only remain safe but illegal. It's going to give us our brake lights, our running lights, and both left and right turn signals.It's going to have a built-in rubber dust cap, which is going to help protect our terminals from any type of corrosion. Now I do recommend using some dielectric grease every now and again, just to go that extra mile to keep them protected. Now our wiring is going to have six amps per circuit for our tail lights, and three amps per circuit for our stop and turn lights. What that means is that's going to provide us with plenty of power to run any type of light, whether it be an incandescent or an LED.Now one of the things I really like about this wiring, is that it's going to use a module box. more

Today, you're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector on our 2019 Honda CRV.Now, our wiring is going to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector. That way whenever we're pulling a trailer we have all the required lights to get down the road safely like our tail lights, brakes, and turn signals.Now, our wiring does come with a dust cap to keep all that dust, debris, and moisture out of the connector, and prevent any kind of corrosion. However, our wiring is only meant to be on the outside when we're using it. It is going to live on the inside and store there as well.Now, you can see the wire I have dropped out the back of my hatch. Now, if we open it up, and we continue to follow our wire, it'll actually live and store right by our spare tire. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2019 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector.So here's what our wiring's going to look like once we have it installed, and it's going to provide us with a 4-pole flat trailer connector so we have all the required lights to get down the road safely like our tail lights, brake lights, and our turn signals. Now whenever we're not towing, our wiring is designed to stay on the inside of our CRV. We can simply lift open the hatch and we can store it right down by our spare tire. This will keep it out of the elements and we can make sure that we're not going to have corrosion buildup on our connector. And whenever we do need to use it, we can simply drop it out the back hatch so long as we stay away from the latch mechanism, the weatherstripping will provide enough cushion to where it won't damage our wire.Now, our wiring is custom designed for our CRV. We're not going to have to cut or splice into any factory wiring at all and in fact there is simply just going to be one connector that we're going to plug in behind this panel on the inside to get it working. more

Today on our 2006 Honda Ridgeline, we're gonna be installing Tekonsha's T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This vehicle wiring harness is gonna provide you with all the necessary lighting you need for your trailer. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. It's an easy installation. It simply plugs directly into your factory connectors between both your passenger and driver's side taillights. Now the wiring systems we're going to be comparing today are going to be two four-pole systems: one from CURT, this is part number C56291, and one from Tekonsha, this is part number 118679. These give us the basic signals that we need, like our right turn and brake, our left turn and brake, and a taillight signal.Once we move over to the next one, this is going to offer a seven-pole design. Now the seven-pole gives us those same three, but we're going to add a reverse light signal, we're going to add a 12-volt power signal. If you decide to, you can also wire a brake controller up to the system. That part number from Tekonsha is 118274.The basic systems here are going to deliver for us the lights that we need for maybe a cargo carrier, maybe a small trailer, even a boat trailer, something like that. more

It is gone provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector so we get all the required lights to safely get down the road, like our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. Our wiring is designed to live on the inside of the vehicle until we're ready to use it, then we can simply drop it out the hatch, close it, and our wiring will be right by our hitch. Whenever we're not using it, we can open up our hatch and we can store it on the inside in the very back.The nice thing about our wiring is that we're not gonna have to cut or splice into our factory wiring at all. Today on our 2015 Honda CRV we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number HM11143274.This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. This is going to be all the proper lighting functions to safely haul something. It's going to give you both terms, so you don't lose your running light, brake lights, and your ground. It's also going to come with a nice dust cap that's going to help cover your connection points from any dirt, debris, and moisture.When you're not using it, you simply roll it up and you can store it inside the vehicle with your spare tire. When you want to use it, simply pull it out. You want to make sure you go over the rubber seal, stay away from any attachment points or connection points that your hatch is going to make, and you can close your hatch right on it.The first thing we need to do to start our instillation, we need to remove our cover here, if you have one, and set it aside. more
